Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deputy Manager of Finance to support our growing finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing key financial processes, including month-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills and a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, providing critical insights to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
a) Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
b) Conduct in-depth variance analysis against budget and forecast, providing actionable insights to management.
c) Support the development of management dashboards and KPI reports.
• Accounting Operations:
a) Oversee the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. b) Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
c) Manage accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and inter-company transactions.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
a) Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and rolling forecasts.
b) Collaborate with department heads to gather inputs and align financial plans with operational goals.
• Tax & Compliance:
a) Assist with the preparation of tax computations and ensure timely filing of direct and indirect tax returns.
b) Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g., GAAP/IFRS).
c) Support internal and external audit processes.
• Process Improvement:
a) Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance internal controls.
b) Leverage financial systems (e.g., ERP) to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications:
- MBA in Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting software/tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of IFRS and financial regulations, with experience managing audits and ensuring compliance.
